Parents in Warrenville can get their young children screened for developmental milestones at no cost on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Warrenville Public Library.
The screenings are free.
The library is partnering with the Wheaton/Warrenville Early Childhood Collaborative (WWECC), a DuPage County coalition that connects families with early-childhood services in the Community Unit School District 200 area. Sessions begin at 10:30 a.m. and run 45 minutes each, according to the city's event calendar.
Children ages 2 months through 5 years are eligible. Each session covers communication, gross and fine motor skills, personal-social skills and problem-solving abilities. The screenings can help identify whether a child is meeting age-appropriate milestones or may benefit from early intervention.
Registration is encouraged, though drop-in sessions may be available. Families can sign up at the Youth Services Desk, by calling 630-393-1171, ext. 124, or by emailing [email protected].
The library is at 28W751 Stafford Place in Warrenville, near the intersection of Batavia and Butterfield roads.
