More than 15 local restaurants and food vendors will line the streets of downtown West Chicago on Saturday, August 22, for the city's annual Food Festival, a free four-hour event running from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The city's official festival page confirms the date and free admission. The full vendor list was not available at press time, but Patch reported more than 15 eateries are scheduled to sell food at the event.

Live music

Two bands anchor the entertainment schedule. Beyond the Blonde opens at 4 p.m., followed by 28 Days at 6 p.m.

Kids' activities

Families will find face painting, a balloon twister, a caricature artist, a juggler, a photo booth, and a puppet show by Those Funny Little People.

What to know before you go

Admission is free.

No outside food or beverages are allowed. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase for guests 21 and older. The city encourages attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets; some on-site seating will be available.

The Discover DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau lists the festival as a regional attraction that draws visitors from across DuPage County. Residents can find additional details or contact the City of West Chicago at 630-293-2200.

The festival marks at least the third year for the downtown event, which returns to the same location where it was held in 2024.
