Community Unit School District 200's 2026-27 school year begins Friday, August 14, with a full day of classes for students in grades 1 through 12.
Kindergarteners start Monday, August 17. Early childhood classes follow on Tuesday, August 18.

Grading periods
Elementary schools (K–5) follow trimesters, with the first ending Friday, November 13. Middle schools (grades 6–8) use quarters, with the first ending Monday, October 19. High schoolers wrap their first semester on Tuesday, December 22, and report cards go home Thursday, January 7, 2027.
End of year
The tentative last day of school is Friday, May 28, 2027, assuming no emergency days are needed. High school graduations are tentatively set for Saturday, May 29, 2027. The district has reserved June 1–7, 2027 as make-up days in case weather or other cancellations force closures during the year.
