A Dungeons & Dragons-themed artisan market with fantasy vendors, fortune readings, and a new D&D-inspired beer is coming to Hopvine Brewing Company in Aurora on Saturday, July 18, starting at noon.
The event, called Dragons, Drafts & Crafts, is free to attend and family-friendly. Alissa Harris posted the event to the Wheaton Patch community calendar on June 29, describing the brewery as "a tavern" and inviting attendees to "browse magical & fantasy-themed wares from local artisans, and have your fortune read."
Hopvine Brewing Company sits at 4030 Fox Valley Center Drive, just west of Route 59 on the west side of Fox Valley Mall. The locally owned brewery and restaurant is about a 15-minute drive from downtown Wheaton.
The market celebrates the launch of a new D&D-inspired beer from Hopvine, though the brewery has not publicly named the brew. Hopvine's recent releases lean toward high-ABV styles, including an imperial IPA at 9.2% ABV.
D&D is not new territory for Hopvine. The brewery already hosts Hopvine Heroes, a weekly Dungeons & Dragons group that meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., according to the brewery's website.
The Facebook event page showed 894 people interested and 84 going as of Tuesday, July 15. The event is co-organized by Cats, Crafts & Cooking and several other groups listed on the Facebook event page, though individual vendor names have not been announced.
Hopvine is open Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. No end time for the market has been posted. For more information, contact the brewery at 630-229-6030 or [email protected].
