Downtown Wheaton merchants will set up shop on the sidewalks along Hale Street for three days of discounts and live music starting Friday, July 24, and running through Sunday, July 26.

The Downtown Wheaton Association is organizing the Second Annual Summer Sidewalk Sales. Participating businesses include Egg'lectic Cafe, Extract Juicery, Five & Hoek Coffee Co., Ivy Restaurant of Downtown Wheaton, Jeans and a Cute Top Shop, and Vintage Charm, according to the association's social media posts.

The event opens with Downtown Wheaton Day on Friday, July 24.

Before the sales begin, the DWA is running a week-long social media giveaway from Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24. Residents can enter by following @DowntownWheaton on Facebook or Instagram and commenting on posts tagged #DowntownWheatonDay. Prizes include gift cards and novelty items from local shops.
