Vintage baseball at Cantigny: Sunday, Aug. 16

Cicada Summer in the beer garden: Sunday, Aug. 16
Later Sunday, Chicago-based quartet Cicada Summer takes the stage at Cantigny's beer garden from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m. as part of the Old Town School of Folk Music Americana Series. The band blends bluegrass, Irish and folk traditions with vocal harmonies, fiddle tunes and the occasional pop hit gone acoustic. Members include Mark Hamada on fiddle, Caroline Synakowski on vocals and whistles, Alec Synakowski on banjo and guitar, and David Rhine on mandolin and guitar.
The performance is free with paid parking. The beer garden at Cantigny's South Grove, 1S151 Winfield Rd., offers draft beer, wine, cocktails and food.
