Downtown Wheaton's Christmas parade returns Friday, Nov. 27, with a 6 p.m. step-off followed by a tree lighting at 7 p.m.

The parade will start at Wesley Street and head south down Wheaton Avenue to Front Street, according to Wheaton Patch. The procession ends at Cross Street, giving spectators time to gather for the tree lighting at the south pavilion.

This is the fourth annual Downtown Wheaton Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, according to the Downtown Wheaton Association's event page. The ceremony follows the parade.

Once lit, the downtown Christmas tree will glow nightly from 4 to 10 p.m. through Jan. 3, 2027.

The event is rain or shine. If dangerous weather forces a cancellation or delay, the Downtown Wheaton Association will post updates on Facebook and Instagram at @downtownwheaton.

Last year's parade and tree lighting drew a thank-you from the City of Wheaton in its December 2025 newsletter. The city credited the Downtown Wheaton Association, parade participants and residents for making the Nov. 28, 2025, celebration a success.

The Wheaton Lions Club also listed the 2025 Christmas parade and tree lighting among its past activities.
